The contents page of Q magazine is set out mostly like a regular contents page that is found in nearly all magazines. For example the contents is split up with a heading ‘features’ which lists the main articles found in the magazine, there is also several images featured in the contents page which helps give the reader something to look at and enjoy artistically. There is also page numbers just before each article which informs the reader of which article is where in the magazine. There is also a section in the bottom left hand corner which has the caption’ every month’ which lists the features that are included in each issue including crosswords, fan mail and feedback and a subscription option among other things. To the right of this is a section that is dedicated to the review articles that are featured including albums and gig reviews, this particular section itself is separated stylistically from the rest of the page. There is also another separation stylistically; this is the ‘Oasis special’ which has a gold font and all the features are in relation to Oasis. Under one of the feature captions there seems to be a joke written about the band, however it is not meant offensively and it makes the reader feel as if they are talking personally to them. In relation to the text on the page it is clear and simple and no stylish font is really used, also the justified text on the left hand side helps to keep the writing in line and does not spread across the page. The white background behind the text also helps the black text stand out from the page, also the three main colours used (black white and red) also help the magazine look neat and not over the top with colour. At the very top of the contents page is the magazines logo which is repeated from the front cover which then helps reinforce the brand and reminds the reader of what magazine they are reading, also the issue number is printed on the top left hand corner which shows the reader if the issue is present or not.
